Today I'm coming to you with this unusual post about... a pigeon. But as my friend has claimed - there is something deep in the story and that's exactly what I want to achieve right now.

I'm going to show you that random situations can lead to the true emotions and deep reflections, the key is just to open your mind and observe. Or listen.

A few days ago I was innocently rolling out my yoga mat on the terrace. The summer evening was warm and the sunset has filled the sky. Read = perfect background for some zen practice.

As I calmly went into tree asana, suddenly a well-known sound has spread around. I looked up and there was a pigeon sitting, breathing very fast at the top of my roof. I immediately saw its blue ring around the limb. Carrier pigeon, or homing pigeon they say!

I couldn't help but brought some water in a cup and hand of pumpkin seeds. What I was thinking? That I would simply encourage him to fly down and eat the supper? Still, I was determined.

I was talking to him and then went with strange sounds I probably had never created before. And guess what? After about 10 minutes, the buddy came down a little and after next 10 minutes he landed just in front of the water cup! I've went through shock of joy inside me!

Now I couldn't help but spoke to my family how quickly I tamed this beautiful creature. He gobbled the water gently and came back for the roof, but that time he sat closer and started observing every single move of mine.

I decided to come to yoga practice again, in the middle I checked if he was looking, but yes, these calm eyes were sending me their curiosity. I finished finally, sat and started to breath, as you usually do at the end of the session and you don't imagine how much calm I felt inside! How easily I controlled my breath and it seemed - everything around. Yes, yoga is amazing stuff to get rid of the stress, but still this is very difficult to achieve such moment of careless peace.

Believe me or not but I think it was this little bird who let me truly, deeply rest.

I was looking at him and I just felt this freedom he has, to fly away every moment he just wishes to. How he observes the world, not understanding everything - but in our times it's even lighter for his mind to just not care and focus on his own, bird life.

That's what I learned from him that evening - that I should more often just sit and observe as the world goes more slowly. I should have the time during the day to let the mind clean as much as possible.

I wanted to thank him so I just took the chair to get a bit taller and petted him gently, he didn't resist at all. That was the carriage pigeon, who really brought a message for me.

And you? Have you got an impression that sometimes world, especially through nature around,
is trying hard to tell you something? 
No? I still believe it does. You need to just listen and see a little wider to get it, however. I've decided to practice, too. Good luck!



PS. Anyone who's Game of Thrones fan noticed the title -  yes, I'm in the family.
But now, actually, I'm more stressed out than fascinated, yesterday I reached the episode 9, season 3, if you know what I mean.

Anyone remembers me? I'm Julia, I call myself here GigiBax and I've started this blog in the last year to let flow my reflections somewhere far away where they may meet some feedback. I've had better and worse moments of writing here (let them stay, why not), but still this place's had a special place in my heart, even if I decided to leave it for more than a year because I wanted to focus on my very first book. You know, that was the bigger piece of work I wanted to put my whole time and energy in.

And I've just finished. Like a five minutes ago. I've decided that's a good moment to end that chapter and come back here, to write, I hope, longer, another one. As I missed this place so much.

How does one who's just finished book feel like? I don't know, actually. My heart is going mad, I'm sitting on the beautiful terrace at my home, what is the most interesting is that small group of goats are singing their "meees" now and that's the song of my success, it appears.

But I love it. This feeling. I'm afraid it feels so good, with such satisfaction, excitation and pride that I may start tomorrow another book. Just kidding.

This day I have the second announcement, that I'm going to come back here, like for good. You may find it chaotic, but Gosh, you don't even imagine how much has changed during this year! How the book has sharpen my writing, taught patience and, let's say, created my own way to take care of the words. And because I've learned a little bit more about myself and about putting them (words) together I believe it would make bigger sense to write for you, in this place.

There are going to be some changes, though. They come from more mature observations, I guess and generally it should be better for my beloved readers. So here we go, short time organisation:

1. New design - simply and clear because what I really want to focus on are the words, so black&white combination is more than perfect in that case.

2. Shorter and more regular posts - I used to work at my posts very long time I didn't always have for, now if I will want to share something, I do it no matter what - 1 post/week for start, but I hope we'll reach 2 posts/week very soon. 

3. More photography - during this year I especially fell in love with black&white photography, I would love to add the pieces of my poor attempts to the posts instead of the inspiring ones I've found on the Internet. Yours is yours, and I want to own this blog as much as possible.

4. Contact - I maybe have noted something about, but now you've got full chance to just copy my e-mail address and write something. Longer feedback? New reflections? Questions? I'm really open, I really believe words have huge power we should share more.

5. More writing tab - so I want to non-stop improve my writing (the same way I want to improve my language) so there, always with earlier information, you will be able to find my another forms of writing, which is everything for me. Some poems? Translations? I don't know. I have some stuff in my well-closed drawer, I love to write (and try writing) any forms, so you'll follow my attempts if you want.

Thank you for coming through the organisation section, I just had to write what's going to happen here.

Having your attention, I would love to thank to all of the visitors who's been there from time to time when I've taken this longer break: you're totally fabulous. 

At the very end, letting my almost-dying fingers have some rest for this very important today, I want to thank you my reader, CAROLINE who left here long ago two comments which gave me such a power and motivation to come back for good that I can't describe it. I was so late responding for your comments, but I deeply hope you may read this part.

Hello fellows! :)

Are you still here?
I've seen some page views, but well it's not like in the active months, and honestly and openly I say this is my fault. I put this blog aside, having a lot of stuff on. I really like this blog, believe me or not, and I'm not going to delete it, never probably, because this is my therapy. Writing is my therapy, my escape from problems, stress and the world which sometimes sucks.

But recently things have been going really good...I've changed my attitude to life, but needed time to set it up completely. It's a difficult and long process, but when finished important matters change for a good and it is really worth working at. I also had time for more mediation and silent thinking. I needed to organize thoughts in my head, so that not to write about anything less important. Cause I want these things and posts be important and inspiring in some way. I also focused more on my health and yoga practice, that's why my Healthy Teenager Project is developing so actively.

However now I'm taking long break.
I'm starting a new chapter, keeping some actual projects on. I need also more time for reflections affecting my nearest future - the choice of studies, of way of carrier, way of life... (the last one is creating every day, though). Now I'm also focusing on the most important attempt of my passionate work - writing my own book. Yes. I do. I can't wait to share the effect with you, if things will go as good as I want them to go. But, well, that kind of writing takes more time and energy. Here I write maximum 2 pages, while having whole book (novel, actually) I go through much more combo-logistic-thinking-over, so if you ever tried to do it - you know how it's like.

But I'm really determined, really excited and truly believe I can make it happen. Having such numbers of you was one of small signs, I can make things happen, especially my writing.
So here I am, mysterious world of book-writing!

Uh, how much is happening right now! Fortunately I've managed to go through organisation things. I'm so happy I figured out Healthy Teenager Project (see on the right) finally.

Okay, let's say this auto-promotion has been done, now let's start the real post. 
Finally next part of summary Book Challenge. Reading books take more time than watching movies, for example, especially when most of them are pretty thick. 
Today "The Land Of Stories" and "British History Seen Through Art". Non-typical combination, hm? Welcome.
